Description
Exclusively available at The Conran Shop, the award-winning winning Cross Leg Counter Stool was designed in 2015 by Magnus Long, a British industrial designer based in London working within furniture, product and lighting design. Awarded Design Guild Mark's inaugural 'Jonathan Hindle Award for Design Excellence' in 2015 - recognising excellence and innovation in British furniture design - the idea for this stool came about from wrapping Post-it notes into cones to create a supple but stable shell for the seat. The form of the cone developed into a bean-like shape to express a warm and inviting place to sit with the addition of multi-density foam building the fluid form and supreme ergonomics of the stool. A high strength tubular steel black frame supports the shell, while the back legs cross over, giving the stool both its name and a unique detail.
