Description

Design. Providing effortless style and an ample amount of storage, the Evesham Ladies Wardrobe has just enough room to neatly store away your dresses, trousers and more with its practical hanging rail. With a generously sized drawer to the bottom for even further storage space, the Evesham Ladies Wardrobe will be a welcome addition to your bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Evesham wardrobe for its classic yet versatile design, making it an easy fit into a variety of interiors-from traditional to modern scandi. Its soft, neutral tone provides a calm backdrop that works well with both understated colour schemes and bold, statement pieces. Practical tips include pairing it with woven baskets or storage boxes at the bottom for organised accessory storage, and accessorising the top with your favourite decorative items to add personality. Its straightforward, clean lines also make it suitable for smaller bedrooms by keeping the space feeling open and uncluttered, while the dual doors and drawers offer practical storage solutions for clothing and essentials.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
