Vintage floral designs by E.A. Seguy. These two colourful designs are made in the UK and presented together in a simple black frame, glazed with a window mount, ready to hang on your wall. Eugene Séguy was a French entomologist and artist who specialised in Diptera. He held a chair of entomology at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle in Paris from 1956 to 1960. He is also known for establishing the Diptera section at that museum. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love the vintage flower print for its bold yet sophisticated aesthetic, making it a versatile piece that can elevate both modern and eclectic interiors. Its striking colours and layered florals lend themselves well to living rooms or bedrooms aiming for a lively but curated look. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with minimalist furniture and neutral tones, allowing the vibrant artwork to be the focal point. Additionally, this piece works brilliantly when grouped with other vintage or botanical accents, or displayed above a console table or sofa for maximum impact. Practical tip: frame it with a simple mount, as shown here, to keep the focus on the artwork and ensure it complements a range of colour schemes.
