Description

The Etta oak curved sideboard with 2 doors and 1 drawer is a compact design with a feature curved front and soft, scooped handles. Made from solid and veneered oak, the sideboard is perfect for smaller rooms, offering ample storage for tableware, glasses and cutlery or living room paraphernalia. The sideboard is made in Estonia and exclusive to Habitat, and a matching Etta oak extending dining table is also available.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Etta oak sideboard for its clean lines and versatile natural finish, making it a great addition to both modern and Scandi-inspired interiors. Its curved design adds a soft touch to functional storage, perfect for organising dining rooms or living spaces without sacrificing style. Practical tips include styling with minimal accessories - like a small tray or a few decorative ceramics - to keep surfaces clutter-free. It works particularly well paired with light-toned woods or monochrome palettes, but can also add warmth to bolder colour schemes. Its compact yet spacious design makes it an ideal choice for balancing storage with a sleek, understated aesthetic.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
