Our Stylist Says
I’m a fan of the Esteban shelf for its clean, geometric silhouette and modular open design - it brings structure without feeling bulky. The matte black finish acts as a neutral backdrop, so it slips effortlessly into contemporary, Scandi-inspired or industrial interiors and even gives a minimalist scheme some much-needed edge. For styling, mix books stacked horizontally with volumes stood upright, then break up the rows with small ceramics or framed photos in odd numbers. Leave a few shelves almost empty to let the shape breathe, and tuck in a trailing plant or two to soften the lines. If you like, add subtle LED strip lighting behind the back panels for a cosy, gallery-style glow.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
