Description
In the Essentials collection of lights from the designer, Koen Van Guijze, you can clearly see his penchant for Brutalism and minimalism, with an ounce of conceptualism. As its name indicates, the collection from the Antwerp designer essentially goes back to basics. The paired-down geometric shapes, the raw materials and the elements in all their simplicity evoke the industrial revolution with a quirky tone. The materials come to life and shape out-of-the-ordinary lamps. The Essentials lamp is a combination of brutalism and sophisticated details such as the elegant cord in twisted fabric with a retro style. This lamp with an uncluttered and industrial style consists of a lacquered wood base topped by a cylindrical black metal body. The naked bulb takes pride of place! The bulb is not supplied with the lamp: you can use any decorative bulb of your choice. Koen Van Guijze: "It is from poetry written with light that a real story is born. ".
