Description

Esme Easyfit Shade, Chrome

Our Stylist Says

I love this chandelier for its sleek, modern appeal and versatility. The chrome finish gives it a contemporary edge, making it an ideal choice for both minimalist and more glamorous interiors. It works particularly well in spaces that benefit from a touch of sparkle, such as dining areas, living rooms, or even a stylish hallway. When styling around it, consider pairing with neutral tones or metallic accents to keep the look cohesive and sophisticated. Practical tip: because of its reflective chrome surface, it’s best to hang this piece in rooms with ample natural light or can be paired with dimmable bulbs to adjust the ambience from bright to intimate. Overall, it's a statement piece that adds a luxe feel without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
