Description

Esmeis a contemporary chandelier with a dark twist. Plated smoked crystals are reflected by clear polished crystals creating a monochrome look. The arms on the chandelier spiral round a centre body and suspend the crystals to make a round form. The crystals are staggered at heights creating an iconic V shape. The wires on the Esme chandelier are completely adjustable meaning that this can be suspended low above a dining table or hung high in a living room.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Esme Chandelier in chrome for its sleek, modern appeal with a touch of glamour. Its versatile design makes it suitable for contemporary dining rooms, living spaces, or even luxe hallways. When styling, consider keeping surrounding decor minimal to let the chandelier be the statement piece, and pair it with neutral or metallic accents for a cohesive look. Practical tips include installing it at an appropriate height - roughly 30-36 inches above a dining table - and ensuring it has adequate clearance in the space so it doesn't overpower or get obstructed. Its reflective chrome finish adds brightness and a sense of spaciousness, making it ideal for rooms that benefit from a luminous, modern touch.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
