Description

Design. This attractive and functional chest of drawers is the perfect storage solution for a smaller room or compact space. Though it is only 63cm wide, it offers ample storage space for your clothes in six deep storage drawers. It also looks superb with beautifully fluid curved corners on the top of the chest and tapered turn shapes in the legs. The wooden handles complete the look, to give a characteristically unfussy and natural feel to this chest of drawers.

Our Stylist Says

The Ercol Teramo tall chest is a versatile and practical piece with a classic design that complements both modern and traditional interiors. I love how its warm oak finish adds natural texture and warmth, making it suitable for bedrooms, hallway storage, or even living areas. It works particularly well in Scandi or minimalist schemes when paired with clean lines and neutral tones. For styling, consider keeping the top surface minimal-perhaps with a statement lamp, a few favourite books, or a small plant-to maintain a tidy look. The multiple drawers offer excellent storage, helping to keep clutter at bay, while the slender silhouette ensures it fits comfortably into smaller spaces without feeling bulky. Overall, a timeless addition that balances function with understated style.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
