This 1957 dining chair was cleverly designed to stack vertically. The original was widely used by meeting rooms and schools, before the dawn of the ubiquitous polypropylene chair. Now it forms an ideal chair for when you have extra visitors, whilst when not in use a stack of these chairs makes a dramatic display. Since 1920 Ercol has been making classic, timeless pieces of furniture. They are delighted to reissue a small selection of some of their favourite pieces. M
I love the classic yet versatile appeal of this Ercol chair. Its simple, clean lines make it a great choice for a range of interiors, from Scandi-inspired schemes to more traditional settings. The natural wood finish adds warmth and texture, making it easy to pair with both upholstered and wooden tables. Practical styling tips include stacking a few for storage when not in use or mixing different colours and finishes for a more eclectic look. It works well in cosy kitchens, open-plan dining rooms, or even as a stylish addition to a home office. Overall, this piece offers timeless appeal combined with practical functionality.
