Description

The stylish ercol Bellingdon TV media unit offers the same nod to mid-century design as the rest of the Bellingdon range. This media unit has plenty of storage, with two statement doors with routed groves creating a striking three-dimensional effect in the solid ash timber and an open shelf on the right hand side. The cupboard and open shelf each have one adjustable shelf with 2 cable management holes in each section keeping your room free of wires. Crafted in ercol's Buckinghamshire factory and finished in a rich vintage stain colour. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for this piece of furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’ve been using the Bellingdon unit in shoots for its clean mid-century lines and warm ash finish - it brings instant texture without overpowering a scheme. It sits equally well in Scandi-inspired living rooms, modern farmhouses or pared-back urban flats. Styling tip: hide electronics and cables behind its slatted doors, then balance the open shelves with a low-profile soundbar, a couple of neat storage baskets and a small stack of coffee-table books. On top, keep accessories simple - a sculptural vase or a low lamp - and let the wood grain do the talking.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
