Description

Design. This contemporary oak cabinet offers two separate storage sections. The large upper glass cabinet consists of two adjustable storage shelves, offering plentiful space for your glassware. At the base of the cabinet there is another ample sized cupboard divided vertically into two with each side having an adjustable storage shelf. Recessed handles, which are both wonderfully tactile and simply elegant, compliment each of the cupboard doors. The oak cabinet also features curved finger joint detailing, a signature feature of the bosco design.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Bosco display cabinet for its clean, classic lines and warm oak finish, which makes it versatile for a range of interiors from traditional to contemporary. It works particularly well in cozy living rooms, dining areas, or even kitchens where it can showcase crockery, glassware, or treasured keepsakes. Practical styling tips include combining your favourite ceramics with understated greenery or personal memorabilia to add personality. The glass-fronted top is perfect for displaying special pieces, while the lower cabinet offers hidden storage to keep clutter out of sight. Its natural oak tone adds warmth and adds a touch of Scandinavian simplicity, making it a timeless addition that’s both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
