Description

The stunning Ballatta Drinks Cabinet is the perfect and practical storage cabinet for all your bar accessories, bottles and glassware, all while impressing any guests that might visit. A stylish and impressive piece that will turn heads and provides the perfect drinks cabinet for entertaining, the Ballattas top section features a mirrored back which uses the lights above to its advantage, and an adjustable glass shelf that is great for displaying drinking glasses. The lower part of the unit includes a pull out wooden shelf that can be practically used as a bar and below, a handy shallow drawer for stowing away any cocktail making tools.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a big fan of the Ballatta drinks cabinet for its clean-lined, mid-century proportions and neutral oak finish - it slots neatly into Scandi, contemporary or transitional schemes. The glazed uppers are ideal for back-lit glassware or a simple decanter display, while the lower cupboards keep bottles and bar tools out of sight. To style, try a pair of tapered candlesticks or a small potted plant on top, and curate a mix of coloured glass tumblers and metallic accents inside to catch the light. In a dining room it becomes a sleek drinks station; in an open-plan living space it doubles as a tidy focal point.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
