Description

Elegant and cosy, the Finch Brushed Cotton Pillow Back Small 2 Seater Sofa adds charm to any space with its blend of traditional design and contemporary flair. Inspired by Charles Darwin's family home, it features hand-drawn finches, botanical references, and traditional scroll arms. The sofa offers deep comfort seating with a plush pillow back design. Upholstered in brushed cotton fabric made from 100% recycled pre-consumer waste and featuring an eco Easy. Clean finish, it rests on vintage oak feet with optional castors. Its compact size is perfect for smaller living areas.

Our Stylist Says

I love this small sofa pillow back as it adds a charming touch of colour and softness without overwhelming a space. The pink fabric is versatile enough to brighten up neutral or pastel interiors, and it works particularly well in classic or vintage-inspired schemes. For styling, consider pairing it with textured throws or cushions in complementary shades, such as creams, soft greys, or even deeper berry tones, to create a layered and inviting look. It's also a great choice for smaller sofas or armchairs, where the size and colour can make a real impact. To keep it feeling fresh, rotate the pillow seasonally or mix with other patterned cushions for a more eclectic vibe.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
