Description

The Finch Linen Mix Pillow Back Left Hand Large Chaise Sofa is a beautifully crafted piece that combines timeless design with modern comfort. Inspired by Charles Darwinrsquo;s Galapagos expedition, it features intricate hand-drawn floral patterns and Finch bird illustrations, bringing a nature-inspired charm to your space. With deep comfort seating, traditional scroll arms, and a cosy pillow back, this chaise sofa is designed for relaxation. Upholstered in a textured linen mix fabric, it offers a breathable and durable feel. Resting on vintage oak feet with optional castors, it adds a touch of classic sophistication to any home.

Our Stylist Says

The English Heritage Finch Large LHF Chaise is a versatile choice for both traditional and contemporary interiors, offering a generous size that’s perfect for larger living spaces or open-plan rooms. I love its timeless, understated design paired with plush, comfortable cushioning, making it suitable for both relaxed family living and more stylish, elegant schemes. It works particularly well in interiors that mix classic elements with modern touches-think vintage-inspired accessories or soft, neutral colour palettes. For styling tips, try pairing with textured throws and patterned cushions to add visual interest, and position it near natural light to enhance its soft, muted tones. This sofa also lends itself to accessorising with nearby side tables or lamps, making it as practical as it is stylish.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
