Description
Back in black... Alessi is reissuing some of its iconic models in black. Black, more than any other colour, has the ability to sculpt objects in their purest and most essential form. Pick-up, which was designed for Alessi by Jacob Wagner, combines three different functions in a single object: side table, magazine rack and ice bucket. A blend of pragmatism and elegance for a minimalist, ultra-practical object. The base which is shaped like a large basket can be used as a magazine rack. A removable bucket, which can be filled with ice and used as an ice bucket or waste paper basket, sits inside the base. This versatile table, with its pared-down, functional design, can be positioned wherever you wish, either inside or out. It's the perfect companion for relaxing and enjoying a nice glass of wine, for example, in the sitting room, garden or pool. With its elegant, minimalist design, the Pick-Up side table works in a variety of domestic settings. The large groove in the middle of the table top has been ergonomically designed so you can easily slip your hand inside and get a good grip. This light, portable table is easy to carry from one end of the house to the other using the integrated handle on the top. The table base lends the object a degree of stability. It's sold in separate parts but can be easily assembled by following the instructions included. Pick-up can be dismantled for easy storage. The ice bucket is also sold separately. The Pick-Up table base can accommodate up to three ice buckets.
