Description

A very inspired mix for this collection, a meeting point of different cultures... The result of the collaboration between the Franco-Lebanese architect Annabel Karim Kassar and the Italian company Moroso, the Salon Nanà collection mixes styles and atmospheres. The name of the collection evokes the convivial atmospheres of late 19th century literary circles (Emile Zola's Nana was published in 1880). The collection includes a system of flexible and modular upholstered seats that can be adapted to various situations, as well as two separate collections of coffee tables inspired by Moroccan tradition. Salon Nanà offers a mix&match of materials, prints and flamboyant colours. I lived in Morocco for three years and was always fascinated by the black and white striped djellabas worn by men in the Medina. With the Nanà Salon, I wanted to create an atmosphere: a constantly changing atmosphere as opposed to a static one'', says Annabel Karim Kassar. ''Many of the pieces in the collection are made in remembrance of the places where I have lived or travelled - France, Morocco, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates and England -'' Kassar explains, ''and the works of craftsmen I met there that had a profound impact on me.'' The Not a Harem coffee tables feature a beautiful top covered in a cotton fabric printed with Moorish check patterns. The edges of the top are decorated with burnished steel nails. The base is in black steel.

Our Stylist Says

I love this side table because of its bold, graphic textile and versatile size, making it a standout piece in both contemporary and eclectic interiors. Its cross pattern and printed cotton surface add a touch of visual interest without overwhelming the space. It works well paired with neutral sofas or armchairs, offering a colourful accent while remaining functional for holding a lamp, books, or a decorative object. For styling tips, try layering it with other textured or patterned pieces in similar colour palettes to create a cohesive look, or use it to ground a cosy corner in a living room or bedroom. Its simple metal legs give it a sleek, modern feel that complements both minimalist and more layered interiors.
