In contrast to its blousy Victorian contemporaries the Chinese inspired decorative style of this 1920’s Jeffrey & Co. archive design is adorned with large peonies and tropical butterflies. The printed floral design comes in shades of apricot orange blue and yellow on a jade green ground finished with a plain colour to the reverse. Beautifully crafted with 100% BCI cotton sateen with a 200 thread count this charming design is available in a range of sizes from single to super king with matching Oxford pillowcase singles sold separately. A contrasting white Oxford pillowcase with embroidery edging is also available separately adding another layer of visual interest and warmth to your scheme. Machine washable tumble dry safe. Concealed transparent button fastening.
This rug, inspired by the Emperor Peony floral bedding, is a great way to introduce a touch of botanical charm without overpowering a space. I love how its Jade and Apricot tones can complement or add a pop of colour to neutral or muted interiors, making it quite versatile. It works particularly well in cosy bedrooms or sitting rooms with a vintage or cottage-style vibe, where it can add warmth and texture. For styling tips, consider layering it over a larger neutral rug, or pairing it with soft linen or textured fabrics to enhance its relaxed, straightforward appeal. Since it’s on the smaller side, it’s perfect as an accent piece under a coffee table or beside a bed, adding a subtle grounding element to the overall scheme.
