Description

Bring a stylish accent light to your home with the Emile Wall Light with Smoked and Opal Glass Shades. This wall light looks ideal when styled in pairs on either side of a hallway, bed, or mirror for a symmetrical appearance. It also comes in a satin brass finish for a post modern aesthetic and features a spherical half opal glass, half ribbed smoke glass shade for a warm light diffused outwards.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Emile wall light because of its contemporary yet refined look, thanks to the smoked and opal glass shades paired with satin brass. It’s a versatile piece that works well in modern, minimalist interiors or even more eclectic spaces when you want to add a touch of sophistication. Practical styling tips include placing it in hallways for a warm glow or flanking a mirror in a bedroom for a balanced, ambient light. Its subtle metallic finish makes it easy to incorporate into various colour schemes, from neutral palettes to richer hues, and it pairs beautifully with other brass accents for a cohesive look.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
