Description

Introduce rich colour and refined detail with the Embroidered Stripe Cushion in Merlot, perfect for creating a layered look in living spaces. Ideal for mixing with neutrals or pairing with bold accents, its 45x45cm size makes it a versatile styling piece. The deep merlot shade brings warmth and sophistication, while the embroidered white stripes create a delicate design feature.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this cushion for adding colour and texture to a variety of interiors. The rich merlot shade makes it a versatile piece that works well in both contemporary and classic settings, especially when paired with neutral tones like grey, beige, or even navy. The embroidered stripe detail adds subtle visual interest without overwhelming the space, making it ideal for layered styling on a sofa or armchair. To create a balanced look, try combining it with other cushions in different sizes and textures, and consider placing it in a cosy reading nook or on a modern fabric sofa to add warmth and personality.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
