Description
These set includes 2 sandstone pots with cork covers. The pots have two different patterns created by Maija Louekari: the Siirtolapuutarha pattern and the Elokuun Varjot pattern. To create the Elokuun pattern, the young Finnish illustrator found inspiration in her own wildflower garden. The designer was fascinated by the changing seasons in the north - new beginnings and abundantly growing vegetation which grows back year after year. This pattern is a tribute to greenery, freedom and warm breezes. The Siirtolapuutarha depicts the saturated abundance of an urban cottage garden. The flat colour tints and freehand lines are typical of the Marimekko collection. Cheerful, chic and graphic, the Marimekko accessories collection brightens up your interior! The simple shapes showcase the collection’s stunning designs. You can compose a coordinated service yourself, or mismatch cups, plates and bowls to create your own style! Created in 1951, Marimekko is a state of mind, a way of life based on creativity, freedom of spirit and inventiveness. Its notoriety dates back to 1960, the year in which Jackie Kennedy made several public appearances in dresses designed by Marimekko. The brand went on to enjoy enormous success, which continues today with a range of clothing and decorative accessories in vibrant colours, for a house full of inspiration!.
