Chic and graphic, the home accessories collection by Marimekko brings life to your interior design! Accompanied by a matching saucer, this white sandstone flower pot is decorated with the Elokuun pattern. When looking for inspiration for its design, young Finnish illustrator Maija Louekari headed into her wildflower garden. The designer was fascinated by the changing seasons in the north - new beginnings and abundantly growing vegetation which grows back year after year. This pattern is a tribute to greenery, freedom and warm breezes. The pot has a hole in the bottom to drain the excess water into the saucer. Created in 1951, Marimekko is a state of mind, a way of life based on creativity, freedom of spirit and inventiveness. Its notoriety dates back to 1960, the year in which Jackie Kennedy made several public appearances in dresses designed by Marimekko. The brand went on to enjoy enormous success, which continues today with a range of clothing and decorative accessories in vibrant colours, for a house full of inspiration!.
