Description
A magnificent light sculpture, the Ellisse pendant has a simple, pure and very graphic shape. These three oval rings, which intertwine, draw frames in the air which mark out empty spaces and fill them with light. These ultra-minimalist, open, extruded aluminium structures are like imprints in space, pencil strokes sketched in the air, or three-dimensional signs. Ellipse highlights the essential: namely, light, which becomes the central player in the aesthetics of the lamp. The void fills with a luminous substance that radiates all around, without revealing the light source. The poetry of this emptiness inevitably makes us think of its opposite: the materiality of the world. Each ring has an LED strip which runs along the circumference of the ring. The LED strip is located behind an opaline polycarbonate diffuser. This pendant diffuses lighting upwards and downwards. This pendant consists of two middle-sized rings (96 x 40 cm) and one large ring (135 x 70 cm). The lower middle-sized ring diffuses downward lighting. The large ring in the middle diffuses light downwards. The upper middle-sized ring diffuses light upwards. The height-adjustable cables allow the rings to be arranged in different positions: they can be straight and overlapping or angled and criss-crossed.
