I’m a big fan of the Ellie chair in cream velvet - its soft, neutral tone and sleek lines make it a very versatile piece. It works equally well in a modern Scandi living room with light timber accents or as a cosy spot in a contemporary lounge layered with textured throws and a bold cushion for contrast. For styling, position it beside a slim floor lamp and a small side table to create a reading nook. Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
