Made in Italy, the Elkin black leather sofa offers the ultimate in high-end design with soft, feather-filled cushions that cocoon you as you unwind. The luxurious sofa combines a streamlined, contemporary box-shaped frame with sumptuous feather and foam seat cushions, and feather-filled back and side cushions, giving it an informal, slouchy look. The Elkin sofa acquires a relaxed, lived-in feel over time, but its cushions benefit from a good plumping once or twice a week to restore their shape and get the air circulating. The sofa is exclusive to Habitat and available in a choice of fabrics and leathers in a variety of colours and sizes.

The Birth of Habitat
In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.
The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.
Rapid Expansion & Legacy
Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.
The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.
Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.
Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.
