A multi-tonal grey with a blue base ‘Taylor’s Grey’ creates ambiance at will interchanging with the rays of light. Composes serene bedrooms bathrooms and living areas. A fast drying, low odour low sheen finish ideal for use where durability and performance is important. All surfaces should be sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Remove any loose or flaking paint. Rub down sound glossy surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly before applying a pre-coat of a Water/Acrylic Primer Undercoat. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead. Seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of up to 1 part water to 4 parts Elite Emulsion. Prime bare timber and metal surfaces with an appropriate primer. Allow radiators to cool before painting. Stir well before use and apply by brush, roller or paint pad. When using a roller, use a medium pile synthetic type. Do not overfill the tray. Ensure roller is loaded evenly. If using a brush, load generously. Apply liberally and evenly; avoid overspreading. Touch dry in 1 - 2 hours. Recoatable after 2 - 4 hours. The Zoffany Elite Emulsion is suitable for interior use, on interior walls and ceilings, primed woodwork, metal and radiators. Approximately 13 square metres per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. Also available in a Acrylic Eggshell and True Matt Emulsion version.
The Elite Emulsion Paint in Taylors Grey works beautifully in creating a calm, sophisticated backdrop, particularly in bedrooms or living areas where a soft, muted tone is desirable. As a stylist, I appreciate its versatility-pair it with contrasting textures or warmer accessories to prevent a room from feeling too cold. It’s a great colour for layering with crisp whites or darker shades for added depth. Practical styling tips include choosing rugs with subtle patterns or plush textures to complement the understated elegance of the paint, while sleek metallic or matte finishes in accessories will enhance its contemporary appeal. This colour is ideal for those wanting a modern yet cosy aesthetic that feels timeless and easy to style around.
