First launched at Salone del Mobile in 2010, the Elephant Office Chair is instantly striking in its originality. Designed with the form and image of the elephant as a stimulus, the chair is an ergonomic structure, handcrafted in Italy by Kristalia. The Chair is designed with a practical and stable tubular frame base, ensuring stability through a classic structure. The seat shell is crafted from durable white polyurethane in an ergonomic form, creating comfort with fluid, contemporary lines. Award-winning design duo Eva Paster and Michael Geldmacher's shared design philosophy is to "transfer things which have got stuck in the past into the present." Their creations reveal a devotion to classic industrial design, while maintaining a commitment to developing new forms and re-evaluating function, establishing fresh aesthetic expressions from forgotten designs.
