Description

Designed by the German architect Egon Eiermann in 1953, the 160cm Eiermann 1 Desk in a blue and black finish is expertly crafted by Richard Lampert. Showcasing a pared-back form and expertly made-to-order in Germany, the design classic features a height-adjustable frame constructed from black-painted metal. Finished with an oak-edged blue linoleum table top, the Eiermann 1 Desk is used by architects across the globe for its adaptability and refined finish. One of Germany's most renowned architects and designers, Egon Eiermann had a simple, minimalistic approach to design. Inspired by Bauhaus architects and designers such as Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Walter Gropius, his unique creations are as functional as they are beautiful.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Eiermann 1 desk for its clean, minimalist design and versatile colourway, making it a great statement piece in both modern and Scandinavian-inspired interiors. The blue top adds a pop of colour without overwhelming the space, while the black frame keeps it grounded and sleek. It works particularly well in open-plan workspaces, home offices, or creative studios where a functional, stylish surface is essential. Styling tips include pairing it with simple, modern accessories such as a organised desk organiser, a statement lamp, or some greenery for a fresh, uncluttered look. Its timeless design ensures it can adapt to changeable décors, making it both a practical and aesthetic choice.
