Description

The Gregorio Dining Table will give your home a timeless appeal with its beautiful marquetry and refined silhouette. The inlaid tabletop gives the impression of depth with the geometric optical illusion, achieved using different organic tones of wood. Standing on two Bronze-finished legs, the Gregorio Dining Table also creates the illusion of more space whilst bringing a modern-classic blend.

Our Stylist Says

The Gregorio dining table offers a sleek, modern take on rustic charm with its warm brown finish and clean lines. I love its versatility-perfect for contemporary, industrial, or even cozy rural interiors. Its sizeable dimensions make it ideal for large gatherings or family dinners, while the minimalist design allows for easy styling with a mix of modern and vintage accessories. Practical tips include pairing it with statement chairs in textures like leather or upholstered fabrics for added comfort, and keeping the tabletop clutter-free with simple centrepieces or low-profile vases. Overall, it’s a robust, stylish piece that can effortlessly anchor a variety of dining room styles.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
