Description

We like to think about every detail on our chandeliers and the Edith is no different. From the tips of the arms holding the cut glass crystals to the hand blown glass centre body. Edith has it all.

Our Stylist Says

The Edith flush is a great choice for adding a touch of elegance and sparkle to various interiors. Its chrome finish makes it versatile, working particularly well in modern or transitional spaces, while the crystal elements lend a hint of glamour suitable for more traditional or eclectic styles. I love pairing it in dining rooms or living areas where you want to create a statement without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include keeping surrounding decor relatively simple to let the light fixture shine, and considering dimmable bulbs for flexibility in mood lighting. Its reflective surface can help brighten up smaller or more enclosed rooms, making it a practical yet stylish addition to your ceiling lighting scheme.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
