"Inspired by a wave pattern, the Écailles collection combines design and craftsmanship. The pieces stand out with the contrast between their geometric shapes and “Écailles” (scales) pattern. The combination of two shades of wood and the finesse of the legs make each piece in the collection unique. Designer Sarah Poniatowski: “The inspiration behind this collection: board games! Children playing checkers, a game of backgammon… I think above all that I wanted to invite them to play. Like a pressing need to feel the emotions of sharing and togetherness. A collection that would provide a link between the uncertain, sometimes anxiety-provoking world outside, and indoors, a place of balance, comfort and interaction. Pieces that would echo each other and turn heated debates from the outside into fun face-to-face situations at home. ”.
