Description

Do you know your farfalle from your fusilli? This typographic print 'Pasta Guide' from Violet Studio gives you the answers in visual form, an homage to pasta in all its tasty shapes, for the kitchen wall. This fine art-quality print on 210gsm acid-free archival paper is framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. The acrylic glaze is light in weight and optically the same as glass. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK in an exclusive size for John Lewis & Partners. Violet Studio's work is focused on classic graphic design and fun poster art. She studied Art History at Oxford University, Graphic Design with the Hato Press at Central Saint Martins and Fine Art in Barcelona, where she also founded a gallery and studio space. Her love of graphic design originated from making posters and publications for friends' exhibitions and food events. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings? Our Stylist Says

I love this pasta guide print for its clean, modern look and playful approach to kitchen artwork. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandinavian-inspired interiors where simplicity and function are key. It’s a great piece to add a touch of personality without overwhelming the space, especially in open-plan kitchens or family areas. For styling, consider placing it above a countertop or alongside other culinary-themed accessories to create a cohesive look. Pair it with wooden or matte black frames to enhance its understated charm, and keep surrounding décor minimal to let the print stand out. It’s practical as well as decorative, making it a versatile addition to any foodie’s home.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
