The giclée art printing process and 210gsm acid-free archival paper create an exhibition-quality art print with long-lasting colours that more closely resemble the artist's materials and tones. A digital form of the original work is stored and then printed using a commercial printer and pigment-based inks. The print is presented with an acrylic glaze that's optically the same as glass yet lighter in weight making it easier and safer to hang. Hali Igwelaezoh is a Nigerian-born, London-based artist and creator who works predominantly through illustration, painting, photography and sculpture. Illustration is her primary medium, with a focus on themes related to culture and femininity. Hali enjoys taking inspiration from several things in life; people, everyday objects, feelings and spirituality to name a few things. Many of her works explore the simplicity and beauty of human form and positioning; movement, expression, themes of softness, still life, and sentimental objects are just a few of the inspirations she draws from. I love this print for its bold, contemporary feel and vibrant colour palette, which can really energise a neutral or minimalist space. It works particularly well in living rooms or bedrooms that could benefit from a pop of colour and modern art. As a stylist, I’d recommend pairing it with simple furnishings and maybe other artworks with a similar colour tone to create a cohesive look. Practical tips include hanging it at eye level, perhaps above a sofa or bed, and pairing it with understated frames or mats to let the artwork stand out. This piece is versatile enough to work in eclectic, modern, or even Scandi-inspired interiors, adding personality without overwhelming the space.
