A monochrome typographic take on The British Isles and its counties, by artist Philip Sheffield. This fine art-quality print on 210gsm acid-free archival paper is framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. The acrylic glaze is light in weight and optically the same as glass. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK in an exclusive size for John Lewis & Partners. Born in London, Philip Sheffield studied Graphic Design and Printmaking at Hornsey College of Art. Now based at his printmaking studio in Suffolk, he works in many disciplines from printmaking, painting, graphic design and 3D design. Philip has an eclectic range of styles and likes to challenge himself with new materials and techniques to continue developing his designs. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love this print for its modern, typographic take on the British Isles-it’s a clever way to add texture and interest without overwhelming a space. It works well in contemporary or minimalist interiors thanks to its monochromatic palette and clean framing. For styling, consider hanging it in a living room or office as part of a gallery wall, paired with other black-and-white prints or simple artwork to keep the look cohesive. Practical tip: position it at eye level and give it some breathing room from other decor items to let the detail stand out. It’s a versatile piece that can effortlessly bring a sense of place and personality into your home.
