Description
A bold and colourful abstract print, 'Venture' from Marcus Walters resembles a plant growing in the sunshine. The giclée art printing process and 210gsm acid-free archival paper create an exhibition-quality art print with long-lasting colours that more closely resemble the artist's materials and tones. A digital form of the original work is stored and then printed using a commercial printer and pigment-based inks. The print is presented with an acrylic glaze that's optically the same as glass yet lighter in weight making it easier and safer to hang. Ready to hang on your wall, it's framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. Marcus Walters is a graphic artist and designer of many disciplines. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins School of Art in London he has art directed magazines, founded a graphic design agency, launched his own fashion and homewares brands, exhibited artwork at galleries across the world and collaborated with some of the biggest brands in the world. Marcus's work is easily identifiable by his reductive graphic style and colourful optimistic imagery. Typography, drawing and illustration intertwine to create joyful images while his pattern designs are feature multi-layered abstract compositions - a nod to his training as a graphic designer. Our Stylist Says
I love this print for its bold, abstract design and versatile colour palette. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, adding a pop of colour and visual interest without overwhelming the space. It's a great piece to hang above a sofa or sideboard, where it can act as a focal point. For styling tips, pair it with neutral furnishings and understated accessories to let the artwork stand out, or combine it with other navy or mustard accents for a cohesive look. Its size makes it suitable for both smaller walls and larger statement walls-it’s all about balancing your space to keep the artwork feeling intentional and impactful.

About John Lewis
A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion
John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.
Adapting to Changing Times
Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.
Commitment to a Greater Purpose
John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
