Description

It's all going to be OK. A positive typographical print by Marcus Walters. This fine art-quality print on 210gsm acid-free archival paper is framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. The acrylic glaze is light in weight and optically the same as glass. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK in an exclusive size for John Lewis & Partners. Marcus Walters is a graphic artist and designer of many disciplines. Since graduating from Central Saint Martins School of Art in London he has art directed magazines, founded a graphic design agency, launched his own fashion and homewares brands, exhibited artwork at galleries across the world and collaborated with some of the biggest brands in the world. Marcus's work is easily identifiable by his reductive graphic style and colourful optimistic imagery. Typography, drawing and illustration intertwine to create joyful images while his pattern designs are feature multi-layered abstract compositions - a nod to his training as a graphic designer. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings? EAST END PRINTS picture frames are usually one of two frame widths: medium frame (2.2cm) and wide frame (3.5cm). Our Stylist Says

I love this print for its bold simplicity and contemporary edge. It works particularly well in minimalist or modern interiors, adding a pop of colour without overwhelming the space. It’s versatile enough to be displayed in living rooms, bedrooms, or even hallways - especially when paired with neutral tones to let the artwork stand out. For styling, consider placing it above a sofa or bed, or creating a gallery wall with other prints that incorporate similar colours. A key tip is to keep the frame's black border clean and uncluttered to maintain its sleek look, making it an easy and impactful addition to various décor styles.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
