Description

Elevate the energy and atmosphere of your wall space with this beautiful flying birds art print by Kubistika. The giclée art printing process and 210gsm acid-free archival paper create an exhibition-quality art print with long-lasting colours that more closely resemble the artist's materials and tones. A digital form of the original work is stored and then printed using a commercial printer and pigment-based inks. The print is presented with an acrylic glaze that's optically the same as glass yet lighter in weight, making it easier and safer to hang. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK and framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. Berlin-based designer Boris Draschoff, known as Kubistika, creates art that follows the literal translation from Greek of the word 'kaleidoscope', meaning 'observation of beautiful forms'. Simplifying subjects, he reduces them to their essentials. Whether he is restructuring shapes and colours along cubist lines, or creating awesomely outrageous pop-artsy collages in a playground of pastels, he can always be trusted to turn your perspective around. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings? EAST END PRINTS picture frames are usually one of two frame widths: medium frame (2.2cm) and wide frame (3.5cm). The frame width varies across the range. The medium frame measures 2.2cm across and comes in the following four sizes: 33.4 x 28.4cm 43.4 x 33.4cm 53.4 x 43.4cm 83.4 x 63.4cm The wide frame measures 3.5cm across and comes in the following four sizes: 36 x 31cm 46 x 36cm 56 x 46cm 86 x 66cm

Our Stylist Says

I really like the east end print’s Kubistika 'The Ocean' - it’s a versatile piece that adds a calm, minimalist touch to any space. The neutral tones and simple composition make it especially suitable for contemporary interiors, coastal themes, or Scandinavian-inspired schemes. It works well above sofas, beds, or in hallways to create a sense of openness. For styling, consider pairing it with natural materials like light wood or rattan to enhance the serene vibe, or layering it with other monochrome prints for a curated gallery look. Its understated aesthetic makes it easy to incorporate into various colour palettes, adding a subtle yet impactful focal point without overpowering the room.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
