A vibrant print of a tree filled with birds and song, 'The Sound of Sunshine' by Fiona Watson. This fine art-quality print on 210gsm acid-free archival paper is framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. The acrylic glaze is light in weight and optically the same as glass. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK in an exclusive size for John Lewis & Partners. The patterns, rhythms, forms and colours of nature in a microscopic and macroscopic sense have always fascinated Fiona Watson. This initially led her to study Biological Sciences at Leicester University. After several years of working for various medical journals, she eventually studied printmaking at the Glasgow Print Studio. Etching copper and steel plates with acid turned out to be the perfect blend of science and art. As a complete contrast and foil to messy printmaking, she also works extensively in digital printmaking. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love this print for its vibrant, uplifting feel - it’s perfect for bringing a splash of colour into a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary or eclectic spaces, where its cheerful palette can really stand out. For styling, consider pairing it with neutral backgrounds to let the artwork be the focal point, or incorporate complementary colours in soft furnishings or accessories. It's especially suited for living rooms, bedrooms, or even a bright, cheerful home office. Practical tips: try framing it with simple white or light wood to keep the look fresh and modern, and hang it at eye level for maximum visual impact. This piece is a great way to add personality and a touch of sunshine to your home.
