Description

Give your child's bedroom a cute addition and make their mornings shine with this joyful lion print by Darcie Olley. The giclée art printing process and 210gsm acid-free archival paper create an exhibition-quality art print with long-lasting colours that more closely resemble the artist's materials and tones. A digital form of the original work is stored and then printed using a commercial printer and pigment-based inks. The print is presented with an acrylic glaze that's optically the same as glass yet lighter in weight, making it easier and safer to hang. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK and framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. Darcie Olley is an illustrator and print designer known for her colourful, fun and playful prints. She graduated from the Colchester School of Art in 2018, during which fashion designer Sir Paul Smith selected her final collection as the winner of the Nicole Abbott Award. Darcie's work is full of joy, fun and cuteness and is inspired in particular by her huge love for animals and nature. She uses a mixture of gouache, watercolour, acrylic, pencil and digital techniques to create vibrant and exciting outcomes. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings? EAST END PRINTS picture frames are usually one of two frame widths: medium frame (2.2cm) and wide frame (3.5cm). The frame width varies across the range. Our Stylist Says

I love this print for its playful and bold approach to artwork, making it a great statement piece in a child's bedroom or a lively family area. The vibrant colours and simple illustration style work well with modern, Scandinavian, or eclectic interiors. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with muted or neutral tones elsewhere in the room to let the art pop, or create a gallery wall with similar fun prints for a curated look. Practical tip: framing it in a light wood or coloured frame can enhance its youthful energy and help it integrate seamlessly into a variety of interior schemes.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
