Pride 2022 artworks In celebration of Pride 2022, alongside EAST END PRINTS, John Lewis & Partners have curated a selection of works by LGBTQAI+ artists. Spanning a variety of genres and styles these works express the diversity of the LGBTQAI+ community. This collection is a vibrant, colourful and summery burst of optimism and sunshine. From bold geometric prints to cheeky photography and graphic illustrations, this collection highlights the wealth of creative contributions of LGBTQAI+ artists that we proudly work with. Spell it out: an important message and statement piece for a wall, 'Let Love In' by photographer Bethany Young. Bethany Young is a travel, landscape and editorial photographer based in the US. She hits the road or jumps on a plane as often as possible to create new art, and meet people from all walks of life. Bethany loves nothing more than exploring different places and cultures while capturing their unparalleled characteristics through the lens. Natural beauty and uniqueness are Bethany's main sources of inspiration and combining the two in one image is her constant goal. The giclée art printing process and 210gsm acid-free archival paper create an exhibition-quality art print with long-lasting colours that more closely resemble the artist's materials and tones. A digital form of the original work is stored and then printed using a commercial printer and pigment-based inks. The print is presented with an acrylic glaze that's optically the same as glass yet lighter in weight making it easier and safer to hang. Ready to hang on your wall, it's framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?
I love how this print brings a touch of urban character and optimism to a space. Its bold colours and vintage motel sign add visual interest and steer towards a retro yet modern vibe. It works well in eclectic or contemporary interiors, particularly when paired with minimalist furniture or concrete accents, allowing it to stand out without overwhelming the room. Practical styling tips include hanging it at eye level in a living space or hallway, and pairing it with simple frames or surrounding it with other graphic prints for a curated look. It’s a versatile piece that can add personality and a sense of narrative to casual or more polished interiors alike.
