Description

Inspired by the simplicity of Matisse's work, this colourful print, 'Heure d'Été' is by Ani Vidotto. This fine art-quality print on 210gsm acid-free archival paper is framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. The acrylic glaze is light in weight and optically the same as glass. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK in an exclusive size for John Lewis & Partners. Ani Vidotto is a fashion designer who graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 2009. Based in Buenos Aires, she illustrates and silkscreens fabrics to create textile products, and also designs prints for clients. She loves to illustrate nature and play with colours. Plants and animals are her main inspiration to bring joy and warmth to everyday life. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings? EAST END PRINTS picture frames are usually one of two frame widths: medium frame (2.2cm) and wide frame (3.5cm). The frame width varies across the range. Our Stylist Says

I really like this print because of its subtle colour palette and clean, modern design. It's quite versatile and suits both contemporary and minimalist interiors but can also add a soft touch to more eclectic spaces. It works well as a standalone piece above a sideboard or sofa, or grouped with other prints for a gallery wall. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral or pastel tones in your accessories or furniture to keep the look harmonious. Using a matt black frame like this one can help the art stand out against lighter walls, while placing it at eye level will make sure it gets the attention it deserves.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
