Description

Enjoy colourful foodie inspiration on your kitchen wall with this chard framed print by artist Anek. This fine art-quality print on 210gsm acid-free archival paper is framed in obeche wood in a choice of finishes. The acrylic glaze is light in weight and optically the same as glass. Ready to hang on your wall, it's made in the UK in an exclusive size for John Lewis & Partners. Ana Zaja Petrak (aka Anek) is a graphic designer and illustrator, working and living in Zagreb, Croatia. She worked for many years in the graphic design industry. A few years ago she returned to illustration which has always been her first love. Her style is graphic, simple and colourful. She uses colour fearlessly and approaches her subjects in a uniquely playful manner. Have you thought about wall hooks and fittings?

Our Stylist Says

I really like the East End Prints Anek 'Chard' print for its bold, playful take on botanical art. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, where its vibrant colours can act as a focal point. To style, consider pairing it with neutral wall tones to let the print pop or hang it above a simple sideboard or desk for a fresh, lively touch. It also pairs nicely with natural textures, like wood or rattan, to bring a bit of organic charm into the space. Practical tip: framing it in white keeps the overall look clean and modern, making it a versatile statement piece without overwhelming the room.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
