Alice Straker is a London-based artist and designer. Her paintings are thickly textured and use an uplifting colour palette which makes them sing from the walls. Alice works with a range of mediums and tools including acrylic, oils, pastels, palette knives and brushes, to create highly original paintings. Alice draws inspiration from her family's love of cooking and her twin brother is a chef. Her degree was in Art History and she has a penchant for colour theory. John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
