I’m a fan of this oak hallway stand because it brings together coat hooks, a bench and open shelving in one slim, industrial-leaning frame. The warm oak veneer softens the black metal structure, so it slots easily into Scandi-inspired, loft or modern country hallways without feeling too heavy.
Styling tip: pop a slim cushion on the bench and wicker baskets on the lowest shelf for stashing scarves and gloves. Use the hooks for daily coats and hang a trailing plant or framed print above to tie it into the room.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
