Offering superb comfort, the jade-green leather EA217 Soft Pad Office Chair with a black base is a decadent seating solution for any modern workspace, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra in 1969.Part of the iconic Eames Soft Pad Group, this EA217 Office Chair features similar frame styles to the Eames Aluminium Group. However, the Eames Soft Pad Group is defined by its sewn-on cushions that create a supple and comfortable contrast to the clean-lined silhouette of the base. Upholstered in premium leather in a deep green hue, the EA217 Chair is covered with soft, smooth aniline cowhide that showcases a flat grain, dyed-through for colour and lightly pigmented for a high-quality finish. Characterised by a curved backrest for added comfort and elevated by a powder-coated black metal base finished with five wheels, the EA217 Chair swivels for simple manoeuvring and has a specifically designed tilt mechanism that can be adjusted to the weight of the user for optimum comfort.
