Description

Designed in 1950 by iconic duo Charles and Ray Eames for Vitra, the DSW Plastic Side Chair in pale rose is an instantly recognisable piece, showcasing the signature 'Eiffel' base, updated honey-tone ash legs and a refreshed colour palette for 2019. Crafted from recyclable dyed-through polypropylene for greater comfort, the seat sits on a striking solid wood and wire base with cross struts and features rubber shock mounts to support longer periods of sitting down. The first industrially produced plastic chair, the DSW Chair has a simple and organic shape that has led to its legendary status and universal appeal. Updated in 2016, Vitra added 2cm to the height of the chair and revised the geometry of the seat for optimum ergonomics and comfort.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this pale pink and honey tone chair - it’s a stylish way to add colour without overwhelming the space. Its sleek plastic seat combined with classic wooden legs makes it versatile for a range of interiors, from modern scandi setups to eclectic and soft, pastel-inspired schemes. Practical styling tips include pairing it with a simple dining table in light woods or muted tones to let the chair stand out, or mixing it with other pastel accents for a cohesive look. Its neutral yet warm colour palette ensures it’s easy to incorporate into both casual and more refined dining areas, making it a flexible piece for everyday use.
