Description

Designed in 1950 by iconic duo Charles and Ray Eames, the DSS-N Plastic Stacking Side Chair is an instantly recognisable piece and is a re-edition of the now legendary Fibreglass Chair by Vitra. In 1993, Vitra discontinued production for ecological reasons, as fibreglass cannot be recycled. Thanks to recent advances in technology and materials, the Eames Plastic Chair was re-issued in the exact same shape but crafted from polypropylene. Crafted from recyclable dyed-through polypropylene for greater comfort, the seat sits on a striking chrome-plated tubular steel base that is stackable up to 8 chairs high for added functionality.

Our Stylist Says

I love this red stacking chair for its bold colour and practical design. It works especially well in contemporary or minimalist interiors where a splash of colour can make a statement, or in casual dining spaces where functionality is key. Its stackability makes it a great option for versatile spaces that need to adapt for different occasions. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral tables and decor to let the chair stand out, or mix with other colourful accents for a playful, eclectic vibe. Its sleek chrome legs and smooth plastic seat also lend a modern edge, making it a flexible choice for both domestic and commercial settings.
