Description

The Downton Wall Sconce has a decadent deco touch formed of mirrored shards. The half round wall sconce is an elegant and decorative wall light.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Downton Wall Sconce for its architectural detail and versatility. Its mix of metals and layered design add depth while maintaining a refined, vintage-inspired look. It works particularly well in traditional, Art Deco, or industrial interiors, but can also lend a striking contrast in more contemporary spaces. When styling, consider placing it on either side of a statement mirror or artwork to create balanced lighting, or use it to highlight a textured wall or niche. For practical tips, ensure it’s mounted at a height that provides ambient light without glare, and pair it with dimmable bulbs for added flexibility. Overall, it’s a statement piece that elevates any wall with its bold yet elegant presence.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
