Description

Dougie Rechargeable Picture Wall Light - Black

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Dougie Rechargeable Wall Light for its sleek, minimalist design that works well in contemporary and modern interiors. Its black finish adds a touch of sophistication and can easily complement monochrome palettes or add contrast to lighter walls. This wall light is a practical choice for spaces like hallways, bedrooms, or even accent lighting in living areas, thanks to its rechargeable feature which means no unsightly cords. For styling, consider mounting it beside a mirror or artwork to highlight key features while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look. It works particularly well in interiors with a focus on functional design and modern aesthetics, providing focused illumination without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
