Description

Designed in 1970 by Shiro Kuramata, this double-front bookcase is composed of panels in a white lacquer finish. Each compartment is of a slightly different size. The ultimate clean, chic storage unit, this piece and can be used as a conventional bookcase or a handsome room divider.

Our Stylist Says

I love this shelving unit for its clean, modern lines and open design, making it versatile for a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in minimalist, contemporary, or industrial spaces where its geometric structure can stand out, but it can also add visual interest in eclectic or even Scandinavian-inspired rooms. Practical styling tips include mixing books with decorative objects like vases, sculptures, or plants to prevent it looking too uniform. Using baskets or boxes within the grid can help organise smaller items and add texture. Its open front design encourages a curated approach, so don't be afraid to showcase your favourite pieces and leave some space blank for a lighter, airier feel.
